Rockwell Power Plant Misalignment Secondary 4B pump 5.28.2026

We had a FLUKE representative come in to show us Laser Alignment and Vibration techniques. He had a Preftechnik Vib3 and I was impressed. I would like one in the future.

For 4B he measured the drive end of the motor and there was a high peak on 1X. I believe the instrument stated that there was a misalignment. A misalignment is a high peak on 3X. Unfortunately I don't have any images on that. But I did take

Here are the thermal images I took since 2025.

sept 15 2025
Sept 22 2025
October 10 2025
October 25 2025
April 20 2026

I would say the Sept 15 2025 and April 20 2026 images are the best to compare with each other because they are taken at the most similar angle. Which means over 8 months the temperature has risen around 5 degrees on the pump side. The speed of the motor was not annotated.

I believe the top is looking at the motor from the side and the bottom is a bird's eye view
The coupling was visually slanted just as the RotAlign shows

Let's look at the vibration data from the SDT340. The following is from Mobius's handbook. This is what a misalignment spectrum should be. We just have to figure out what kind of misalignment it is.

1X, 4X, 7X, 8X harmonics for misalignment

It seems like there are signs that there is misalignment but i am not convinced because it doesn't scream misalignment. I don't want to chase something I wish I'd like to see. There has to be more concrete data and I don't think that the vibration capabilities of my SDT unit is sensitive enough, unfortunately.
